		<description>It&#039;s simply amazing to see how the video console and gaming market has exploded in the past decade or so.

Seeing Nintendo creep its way back in the game on a serious level with the Wii was not only impressive, it also shows that heated competition can last for a very long time. 

Xbox seemed to have pick up a solid niche with the Halo series, although MSFT seems to have had paid a boatload of cash to get a piece of the gaming market in comparison to others.

I think Sony was brilliant by marketing the the blue ray combination. I think a lot of consumers felt a &#039;2 for 1&#039; value and bought in for those reasons.
